One day in 1962 a young Doug Eidd took a flight of stairs into a recently defunct gym in downtown Dallas and re-launched it as "Doug's Gym". He would train, guide, mentor, and help thousands get to more healthy routine. His gym would see folks of all ages, celebrities, muscle heads, and those looking for a higher form of working out. They gym echoed with the sound of iron and steel, talk of politics, money, relationships, and dreams. After 55 years and at the tender age of 87 years, Doug closed his gym.

Home away from home ...
The connection to the thought, emotion, feelings, and soul of a person.
My personal affinity for modern architecture is perhaps most deeply embodied by Chicago.
